Narrowcasting

Narrowcasting is about sending content to a specific, smaller audience instead of everyone. It's often used for media like digital signs, presentations and private networks to show real-time information, like live survey scores and results, directly to the people who need to see it. This article describes how to create your own narrowcasts to display real-time data.

How to create a narrowcast?

  1. In Spotler FeedbackPro, go to Publication options in the menu and click on the Narrowcasting module
  2. Click on the + Create narrowcasting button
  3. Enter a name for your narrowcast and select a grid how you like to display the data. Full screen is the most common option but you have various options to choose from.
  4. Select whether you want additional options, like having a summary bar on the left. Here you can also add a background image for your narrowcast.
  5. Now you add a graph to your narrowcast by clicking the Add a graph to this column button. You will have a couple display styles, such as Response feed, Line graph and Score cards
  6. Then you will fine tune the selection by choosing the survey you want to show on the narrowcast, perhaps filter on a question or selecting metadata. When ready, click on Finish layout.
  7. Now you're back in the narrowcast and you will see the column you just added. In the top-right, you can click on the Finish editing button to finalize your narrowcast. Next to that, you will see an URL to copy and share. This URL broadcasts the narrowcast you just created.

Spotler FeedbackPro was formerly called Insocial.
