You can add a metadata filter to a report in Spotler FeedbackPro in one of two ways, depending on the type of report. For a standard, automatically generated report, you add the filter through the Survey Builder. For a customized report, you add the filter through Reporting.
On this page, the following topics are covered:
- Which route applies to your report
- Add a metadata filter to a standard generated report
- Add a metadata filter to a customized report
Which route applies to your report
Which method you use depends on the type of report:
- Is it a standard, automatically generated report? Add the filter through the Survey Builder.
- Is it a customized report, meaning a report you have made changes to yourself? Add the filter through Reporting.
Add a metadata filter to a standard generated report
- Go to Surveys.
- Select the relevant survey and click Edit survey.
- Click Next twice, until you reach the page showing Type of Report at the top.
- This page shows which reports are currently enabled and automatically generated.
- For the report you want, click the gear icon and select the additional metadata field you want to add.
- Click Finish survey. A new version of the standard report is generated, including the new metadata field.
Add a metadata filter to a customized report
Adding a metadata filter to a report you have made changes to yourself works differently than for a standard report.
- Go to Reporting and select the report you want.
- In the top-right corner, click the pencil icon (Edit dashboard).
- In the top-right corner, click the funnel icon.
- Choose Text or category.
- Give the filter a name.
- Connect all cards in the report to this filter. For each card, open the dropdown menu, and under Flattened metadata, search for the correct field, for example Age category.
- Click the Auto Connect pop-up that appears at the bottom to connect all cards in the dashboard to the new filter at once.
- Verify that all cards were connected automatically. If a card was skipped, connect it to the metadata field manually.
- Save the new filter, then save the report.
