Question types
Below you will find all available question types and their explanations.
Slider questions are single-page questions that allow you to gather opinions using an answer scale. You can choose from a wide range of answer scales, such as ‘good-bad’ or ‘1-10’.
The Smiley question type helps you assess how respondents feel about your product or service. It provides a visual answer scale using smiley faces, making it easier for respondents to connect emotionally.
The List question type allows respondents to choose one answer from a list of options. Unlike Multiple choice, only one answer can be selected.
This question type allows respondents to select an answer from a dropdown menu. It provides a clean and organized overview of answer options.
Multiple choice allows respondents to select multiple answers for a single question.
Use this question type when respondents need to provide an open-ended answer, such as an opinion or explanation.
Ranking allows respondents to order answers based on their experience.
With the Review question type, you ask permission to publish responses on your website. This requires a configured connection to your website.
Use this option to insert a custom page between questions, for example to separate topics.
This question type allows you to collect respondent details such as name, email, phone number, and gender.
Driver questions help you gain insights by using scale-based answers to create a priority matrix.
To create a driver question:
- Select the text type (recommended: Slider).
- Ask a question that can be rated on a scale.
- Add an explanation of the scale (e.g. 1 = very dissatisfied | 10 = very satisfied).
- Select the appropriate answer scale.
Example questions:
- “How do you feel about our service?”
- “On a scale of 1 to 10, how likely are you to recommend us?”
- “Please elaborate why you gave a {{ANSWER:IqWCEw}} (the embedded question reference code)?”
Allow respondents to upload files such as PNG, JPEG, JPG, or HEIC.
This option allows you to group multiple questions on a single page to keep your survey structured.
Add a final page to indicate that the respondent has completed the survey.
Additional options for every question
In the Advanced tab when setting up a question, you can add a subject to each question, which helps keep your survey more organized and allows you to better structure the responses. Additionally, you can apply a different theme to each question if necessary. Furthermore, there is a Link tag option that lets you assign the same tag to questions that are related or identical across various surveys. This feature assists in aggregating and comparing responses efficiently.
In the Action center tab when setting up a question, you can activate notification rules that trigger when responses meet specific criteria. For more information on setting up the Action center, see this Help Center article: Notifications
